Phase II – Initial Exploration Proposal and Flight
Based on your team’s data analysis your team must make a choice. You may either explore the planet Donner or its moon Blitzen. In your Initial Exploration Proposal your team should include:
1. Describe what question(s) about the planet or moon you are attempting to answer and your initial goals for the development of Donner or Blitzen.
2. Provide evidence from your reconnaissance and surveillance mission to justify the type of exploration you want to carry out. (Use at least 2 items from your Data Analysis Sheet).
3. Your scientific team must have a company name and logo.
4. Turn in your Initial Exploration Proposal to the ILDC. Launch priority will be assigned based on the quality of your proposal and the time it was received.
5. Initial Exploration Flight to Donner or Blitzen. One member of your team will join the ILDC on its initial exploration and collect samples for Sample Data Analysis. At the same time, your scientific team will help the ILDC continue its advanced research into the effects of crater impact on planetary bodies.
